Master Plan
The overall goal of the WRP is to provide a long-term environment that attracts and maintains science, technology, and educational endeavors to supplement the core capabilities of NASA Wallops Flight Facility, the Mid-Atlantic Regional Spaceport, the U.S. Navy's Surface Combat Systems Center and other WFF Partners along with the Marine Science Consortium while contributing to the economic development of the Eastern Shore of Virginia and Maryland region.
Environmental Report
In accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act, an Environmental Assessment (EA) for Wallops Research Park was completed with a Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) for the development as currently proposed. Wetland/ Resource Protection Areas
Wetlands have been field delineated and confirmed by the U.S. Army COE for the area north of Mill Dam Road. Other areas shown with wetlands utilized National wetlands Inventory mapping.
Refer to Master Plan for delineated/ confirmed wetland locations and National wetlands inventory mapping. RPA limits are also shown on the Master Plan, and are derived from wetlands/ stream delineations.
