In addition to NASA Wallops Flight Facility, Mid-Atlantic Regional Spaceport and the U.S. Navy's Surface Combat Systems Center, the Wallops region is home to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) and the U.S. Coast Guard. Private industry with a presence in the region include BaySys Technologies, Aerosonde/AAI Corp., and Eastern Shore Defense Alliance (ESDA) members. ESDA is a group of business people and other citizens interested in supporting the missions of the Defense-related organizations on the Eastern Shore.
